Escaped ships are not a big problem in Port Royale 2.

Besides the trading part, the sea fight is a key game element in Port Royale 2.

Make sure all pirate ships are in the hideout befor attacking it.

Basically very simple: head for the harbor cannon, turn about, fire, turn.

Watch rocks and shoals while you attack a town.

The fire frequency of a harbor cannons is extremly low.

Ships with a high agility are the best choice for a town attack.

The fencing duel is the easiest part of Port Royale 2.
