Kinds of trade routes
There are two kinds of trade routes, one automatic and one semi-automatic.
For both of them a captain with 4 skill points is required.
- Captain trade
Your captain will deciede on his own which goods, amounts and prices are used for trading. For this automatic trade you only need to set up the route.
These trade routes are set up easily but they are not the optimal solution if you want to achieve maximum profit per trip. It is very important to use a captain with high trade skills. The higher his trade skill, the higher the profit should get.
- Manual trade routes
For this semi-automatic trade route you need to set up the goods, amounts and prices and of course the route itself. The captain does not trade on his own. Only this kind of trade route allows you to transfer goods from or to your warehouse.
The advantage of semi-automatic trade routes are the parameteres you defined, they help you to maximise your profit. The downside is, of course, the high effort to create them.
You can exclude goods from trading for both trade routes.
