I receive the error message "Ascaron Exception: Error loading archives!"

 

This is caused by a faulty installation of Port Royale 2.

Please uninstall the game and re-install it. This should solve the problem.

Please make sure no unnecessary programs and processes are active during the installation; especially anti-virus programs and firewalls.
