Does Port Royale 2 runs on Windows Vista?

 

The compatibility can only by guaranteed for the operating systems mentioned under the system requirements.

 

As already mentioned here, the original Port Royale 2 CD should not be compatible with Windows Vista or Windows 7 thanks to its copy protection. The Ascaron FAQ section has a tip that might help. As I do not have Vista or Windows 7, I can not proof the tip.

Disable the Data Execution Prevention of Windows
1. Open the Windows Control Panel
2. Double click on System
3. Advanced
4. Performance -> Settings
5. Data Execution Prevention
6. Add the Port Royale 2 .exe
7. Apply
